WIDE ANDCO, supported by Innovative Initiatives, has launched an IT-focused Career Guidance series as part of a larger effort to help women & girls in their professional development.
This initiative addresses a real need: Despite growing opportunities in Luxembourg’s technology & innovation fields, women remain significantly underrepresented. According to the Digital Decade 2025 Country Report, 22.5% of Luxembourg’s ICT specialists were women in 2023 (above the 19.4% EU average), but by 2025 that number had dropped to 17.4%, with a growth rate below the EU average.
Aware of this challenge, Luxembourg’s ecosystem has responded with the rapid expansion of public & public-private ICT training opportunities for women, with a robust annual growth rate & positive trajectory, as noted in the Country Report.
Part of that momentum, the Career Guidance Sessions connect women with leaders from within the IT industry. It aims to make opportunities in the tech & entrepreneurship landscape more visible & accessible to women. Whether entering the job market, considering a career shift, or building a business, attendees can gather advice & mentorship from those who have journeyed along that career path themselves.
The sessions are informal & discussion-based, designed to foster a supportive environment. Participants are encouraged to share their own experiences, ask questions & gather feedback—not only from the experts but from each other. This peer-driven, mentorship approach provides clarity & fosters connections.
Upcoming Sessions
- November 25—How AI is transforming jobs & career paths: Marion Massot from PwC will share how her own role has evolved with AI. In addition, the WIDE ANDCO team will provide mentoring resources & guide participants through a SMART goals exercise, helping them define professional next steps
- December 4—Entrepreneurship: Designed for women with an entrepreneurial idea or prototype who wish to move forward with their project. Participants will learn how to navigate the Luxembourg entrepreneurship ecosystem, identify suitable partners & access local support initiatives.
Both events will take place at the centrally-located WeCitizen office (8, rue de Bonnevoie, L-1260, Luxembourg City).
Participation is free, but space is limited to about 15 people per session to keep the conversations intimate & meaningful. Interested participants should register in advance below.
Over the past two years, WIDE ANDCO has benefited around 60 women & girls through one-on-one discussions, group mentoring, workplace visits & knowledge sharing.
Through initiatives like this, WIDE ANDCO continues to support Luxembourg’s national digital roadmap & technology strategies by increasing female representation within ICT professions.
