CNPD releases its new brochure to raise consumer awareness

As part of the data protection day, the CNPD (Commission for data protection) presented its new brochure in order to raise consumer awareness.
With the rise of new technologies, more and more personal information about you is collected, exchanged and processed. Often you do not know from whom, for what purpose, over what period of time and with what consequences this will happen.
The shift from “Digital Luxembourg” to “Innovative Initiatives” gives us the flexibility to evolve with Luxembourg’s changing needs. It reflects a shift in priorities too. Under its new name, Innovative Initiatives communicates on & drives projects in the areas of (1) digital skills, (2) data policy, (3) connectivity & (4) new technology—areas in which the Department of Media, Connectivity & Digital Policy has unique expertise.
“Digital” has become synonymous with modern society. Our name change trades “Digital” for “Innovative” in order to emphasize the root of what makes digitalization relevant: its potential for positive transformation.
