The BnL has just launched its fifth digitization campaign, thereby embarking on a new stage in its multi-year programme for the mass digitization of the Grand Duchy’s written heritage.
The BnL will have support from the Indian company Ninestars Information Technologies. A total of 31 Luxembourgish periodicals, including ‘L’Indépendance Luxembourgeoise’ and two serial publications (including ‘T’Hémecht’) are to be digitised and put online on the portal at www.eluxemburgensia.lu by the third quarter of 2017. This will add more than 166,000 pages to the 713,000 pages already digitized by the BnL since 2002.
All the documents digitized by the BnL may be accessed using the www.a-z.lu search engine operated by the 74 libraries in the bibnet.lu network.
