The State Ministry’s Central Legislation Department has just launched a total reworking of its portal ‘legilux.public.lu’, with a new design, better search capabilities, and a number of new functions.
The site focuses on ease of access to information and on Linked Open Data. One of the central features of the new site is the single and unequivocal electronic identification of legislation documents entirely based on the rules for the Semantic Web in compliance with the requirements for implementing the ELI (European Legislation Identifier). Legilux also provides all the prerequisites for machine interpretation of Open Data with a view to its re-use.
This unique identification is made easier by the publication, since 2017, of a single document per issue of the Mémorial; from now on only the electronic version will have legal value.
