The Luxembourg Internet Days event will discuss what has really changed over the last months in terms of threats and solutions related to the Internet, and what do professionals expect for the near future to secure communications and data flow, storage and even use. Due to the fact that the spread of Digitalisation into all aspects of our lives, professional and private, real or virtual, goes hand in hand with Internet-related networks and data security challenges, the full event will be dedicated to these huge topics.
As you have may have understood by now, the Luxembourg Internet Days is, more than ever, the must event to attend and meet with experts from the Networks, Cloud and Digital Transformation sectors.
In these troubled times, European cooperation is key. As our neighboring country, France is both a very active cyberwar player and an avid defender of European e-commerce, France will be put under the spotlights. It will be significantly represented during the event, with speakers as well as in the exhibition area, to emphasize the importance of mutual aid and collaboration. “With the 2019 edition, we want to encourage the emergence of cross-border awareness. We will, therefore, give pride of place to sharing experiences and to local entities, such as the French Tech East, Inspire Metz, the Sillon Lorrain or Thi-PI, to raise the dynamic, ” states Frédérique Ulrich, organizer of the event for over six years.
On 12 & 13 November, more than 1,000 professionals will gather at the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, to exchange in a focused, pragmatic and problem-solving way on:
- Network & Cloud Security on 12 November;
- Digitalization including e-commerce on 13 November.
With the number and variety of cybersecurity attacks (DDoS, ransomware, …) and data leaks increasing each year, and with the exponential growth of connected devices, the security of Networks and infrastructures has never been such a critical challenge. Starting with a visit and an allocution from Prime Minister Xavier Bettel, the first day will then unfold with sector trendsetters and experts for sharing of visions, experiences and panel discussions, all focused on Edge computing, DDoS attacks, data monitoring and a NIS directive update, to question and help participants to address their particular situation.
Technics and cooperation are not only in the DNA of LU-CIX, the organizer of the Luxembourg Internet Days event, but also the guiding base principles of the Luxembourg Network Operator Group (LUNOG). This year, for the second time, the Luxembourg Internet Days event will host the community conference, LUNOG2, designed to support Network professionals addressing pragmatic subjects together with RIPE NCC, Fondation RESTENA, and fascinating others.
On 13 November, the event will be launched by the Minister Delegate for Digitalization, Marc Hansen, and will focus on the different challenges surrounding global Digital Transformation and e-presence/e-commerce. Companies such as Amazon Web Services, PwC, and Groupe Auchan, will take the stage to give the audience insights, tools and key takeaways for their business to keep growing and growth catching.
The digital transition for SMEs may seem like the 12 works of Hercules, as well as for bigger companies or financial institutions.
