Safari Books Online supplements the already available digital offer of more than 100,000 scientific e books, 55 000 e journals and 370 databases, including other essential IT products such as ACM Digital Library, IEEE Xplore Library, Lecture Notes in Computer Science, etc.
Readers registered with the National Library, the University of Luxembourg, and the public research centres LIH (Luxembourg Institute of Health) and LIST (Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology) can access free of charge and from anywhere all of Safari Books Online using the http://www.a-z.lu search engine, or directly via Safari Books online (using a smartphone) or Safari Books Online (using a computer).
Xavier Bettel, Minister of State and Minister for Culture: “This library is a real laboratory for acquiring today the skills of tomorrow.”
Users will be able to acquire the IT skills necessary to go on to develop new competencies, asserting themselves in the international NICT market and actively participating in the development of the Grand Duchy’s digital society.
The expanding offer of documents in digital format is totally in line with the Government’s Digital Luxembourg initiative, in which the NICT are defined as the principal focus for the country’s economic development.
