The project aims to provide predictions that optimize drinking water management based on real-time data from the water network of the Useldange test area.
A new data management tool is being designed to achieve this goal. It draws data from smart meters installed in households and industrial sensors installed in areas with higher water consumption rates. The consumption of drinking water measured within individual households will be converted into regional data for optimal water distribution.
This will enable the sustainable use of the highly valuable resource–water–while reducing operating costs by improving water leakage detection and water consumption prediction thanks to optimized infrastructure.
