In the context of their Digital Transformation journey started in 2018, Hôpitaux Robert Schuman developed an integrative digital platform leveraging 5G technology. The platform, developed with the support of NTT, allows for medical data to be exchanged securely, reliably and in real time between all actors involved in a patient’s health journey (e.g. authorized healthcare personnel, hospitals and emergency services).

The open digital platform was tested in two specific use cases during the proof of concept: a home IoT-based monitoring and telemedicine solution to improve follow-up care for patients suffering from heart failure and an improved emergency onboarding process based on the stroke use case.

The patient’s health journey and the improvement of the medical staff’s daily activities are at the heart of the project.
