The Municipality of Waldbillig is accelerating its transition into a smart community through three different use cases.

The first use case is the provision of ultra-high-speed Internet connectivity via 5G fixed wireless access to households of municipalities wishing to participate in the pilot project.

The second use case is the retrofitting of over 100 household analog water meters, turning them into smart water meters for more efficient monitoring of the municipality's overall water consumption.

The third use case consists of the operation of two interactive totems – one in front of the municipality in Waldbillig and one in front of the school building in Haller – that foster the digital communication of public information to citizens.
