The University of Luxembourg climbs to position 178 among the best universities in the world in the latest edition of the renowned “Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings”.
The University of Luxembourg now ranks 86 among the European universities participating (compared to 99 in 2015).
Furthermore, it was able to ascend to a joint first place for international outlook in the global ranking, which it shares with Qatar University, making it one of the most international universities worldwide. This category takes into account the number of international students, PhD students, researchers and academic and non-academic personnel into consideration, as well as the involvement of international co-authors in publications.
As regards the Computer Science subject, the university is number 58 worldwide.
The World University Rankings evaluate the strengths of a university in the areas of teaching, research, international orientation, funding from industry and the number of mentions in specialist publications, based on 13 performance indicators.
